Shipping Policy

1. Shipping Methods and Timeframes
Yaad Logistics offers the following shipping methods throughout Jamaica:
- Standard Delivery: 2-3 business days for delivery within Kingston and St. Andrew, 3-5 business days for other parishes.
- Express Delivery: Next business day delivery within Kingston and St. Andrew, 1-2 business days for other parishes (subject to cutoff times).
- Same-Day Delivery: Available only within Kingston and St. Andrew for packages received before 10:00 AM.
- International Shipping: Timeframes vary by destination country. Please contact our customer service for specific delivery estimates.
Cutoff Times: For next-day and same-day deliveries, packages must be received by our facility before the specified cutoff times:
- Same-Day Delivery: 10:00 AM
- Next-Day Delivery: 2:00 PM
Business Days: Monday through Friday, excluding public holidays in Jamaica. Weekend delivery is available in select areas for an additional fee.
2. Delivery Areas
Yaad Logistics provides delivery services to all 14 parishes in Jamaica, with varying delivery timeframes and rates based on location.

Secondary Service Areas (Standard Delivery Times):
- Clarendon
- Manchester
- St. Elizabeth
- Westmoreland
- Hanover

- Portland
- St. Thomas
Remote Areas: Some remote or difficult-to-access areas may require additional delivery time and may incur additional fees. Our customer service team will notify you if your delivery address falls within a remote area.
3. Shipping Rates
Our shipping rates are based on package weight, dimensions, delivery location, and selected shipping method. The base rates for packages up to 10 lbs are as follows:
- Free Delivery: Kingston, Portmore, and Angels
Additional Fees:
For packages over 10 lbs or for international shipping rates, please contact our customer service for a custom quote.
Currency: All rates are quoted in USD but will be charged in Jamaican Dollars (JMD) at the current exchange rate at the time of transaction.
4. Package Requirements
To ensure safe and timely delivery, all packages must meet the following requirements:
- Packaging: Items must be properly packaged in a box, padded envelope, or other suitable container that provides adequate protection during transit.
- Sealing: All packages must be securely sealed with appropriate tape. Do not use string, rope, or masking tape.
- Labeling: Packages must be clearly labeled with complete and accurate sender and recipient information, including full name, address, and contact number.
- Weight Limit: Maximum weight per package is 50 lbs unless special arrangements are made.
- Size Limit: Maximum dimensions are 36" x 24" x 24" unless special arrangements are made.
Packaging Guidelines: For fragile items, we recommend double-boxing with at least 2 inches of cushioning material (bubble wrap, foam peanuts, etc.) on all sides. Electronics should be shipped in their original packaging whenever possible.
5. Prohibited Items
The following items are prohibited from shipping through Yaad Logistics:
- Illegal substances or items
- Hazardous materials, including flammable, explosive, or corrosive substances
- Firearms, weapons, or ammunition
- Perishable goods that may spoil during transit (unless specifically arranged)
- Live animals or plants (unless specifically arranged and permitted by law)
- Counterfeit goods or items that infringe on intellectual property rights
- Currency, cash, or other monetary instruments (unless through authorized services)
- Any items prohibited by law in Jamaica or the destination country
Yaad Logistics reserves the right to refuse, return, or dispose of any shipment containing prohibited items, at our discretion and at the sender's expense.
6. Tracking Information
All packages shipped with Yaad Logistics receive a unique tracking number that can be used to monitor the status and location of your shipment.
- Online Tracking: Track your package on our website by entering your tracking number.
- SMS Updates: Receive text message updates about your package status (available upon request).
- Email Notifications: Automatic email updates at key stages of the delivery process.
Tracking information is typically updated within 2-4 hours of a scanning event. If your tracking information has not updated in 24 hours, please contact our customer service.
7. Delivery Procedures
Our standard delivery procedures are as follows:
- Delivery Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Saturday deliveries (where available) are from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
- Signature Requirement: Most deliveries require a signature from the recipient or someone at the delivery address. ID verification may be required for high-value items.
- Signature Waiver: Customers may authorize delivery without signature by signing a release form in advance.
- Business Deliveries: For business addresses, deliveries will be made during business hours and may be signed for by any employee at the address.
8. Failed Delivery Attempts
If we are unable to deliver a package on the first attempt, the following procedures apply:
- Notice of Attempted Delivery: A delivery notice will be left at the address with instructions for rescheduling or pickup.
- Second Attempt: We will automatically attempt a second delivery on the next business day.
- Third Attempt: If necessary, a third delivery attempt will be made, after which the package will be returned to our facility.
- Package Holding: After failed delivery attempts, packages will be held at our facility for up to 7 days for customer pickup.
- Return to Sender: If the package is not claimed within 7 days, it will be returned to the sender (return shipping fees may apply).
Redelivery Fees: No additional charge for the first two delivery attempts. A fee of $5.00 USD may apply for special redelivery requests or third attempts.
9. Lost or Damaged Packages
In the event of lost or damaged packages, the following policies apply:
- Claims Process: Claims for lost or damaged packages must be submitted within 7 days of the expected delivery date.
- Required Documentation: Claims must include the tracking number, proof of value (receipt or invoice), and photos of damaged items and packaging (if applicable).
- Standard Coverage: All packages are automatically insured up to $100 USD at no additional cost.
- Additional Insurance: Coverage beyond $100 USD requires the purchase of additional insurance at the time of shipping.
- Claim Resolution: Claims are typically processed within 10-15 business days of submission.
Liability Limitations: Yaad Logistics is not liable for damages resulting from improper packaging, prohibited items, or circumstances beyond our control (weather, customs delays, etc.).
10. International Shipping
For international shipments, the following additional policies apply:
- Customs Documentation: Sender is responsible for providing accurate and complete customs documentation, including commercial invoices, certificates of origin, and any other required documents.
- Customs Clearance: Packages may be subject to inspection by customs authorities in the destination country, which may cause delays beyond our control.
- Duties and Taxes: The recipient is responsible for paying all applicable duties, taxes, and customs fees unless other arrangements have been made.
- Restricted Items: Many countries have specific import restrictions. It is the sender's responsibility to ensure that the contents of their package are legally importable into the destination country.
- Delivery Timeframes: International delivery timeframes are estimates only and not guaranteed due to potential customs delays.
International Coverage: We currently offer shipping services to the Caribbean, North America, and the United Kingdom. For other destinations, please contact our customer service.
11. Returns and Refunds
Our return and refund policy for shipping services is as follows:
- Service Failures: If we fail to deliver a package within our stated timeframe due to our error, we will refund the shipping fee or provide a credit for future shipments.
- Cancellations: Shipping orders may be canceled and refunded only if the package has not yet been processed or picked up.
- Return Shipping: If a package is returned to sender due to an incorrect address provided by the customer or recipient unavailability after multiple delivery attempts, return shipping fees will apply.
- Refund Processing: Approved refunds are typically processed within 5-7 business days and will be issued to the original payment method.
13. Policy Changes
Yaad Logistics reserves the right to modify this Shipping Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of our services after any changes indicates your acceptance of the modified Shipping Policy.
